In 2003 I moved to Santa Fe, NM from Asheville, NC. I stayed as the hostel in Santa Fe for a good part of a year, then moved with a friend up to Pojoaque. A year later I moved down to Madrid just south of Santa Fe. During those first few years the landscape of NM was an intrique. Not being a landscape artist per se I found myself painting the NM landscape as a kind of staging for my artistic musings and visions. A synergy took place between the musings and the landscape.
