Behind the Curtain

For a long time this gallery was called Roadkill Art: The kind of art one creates while feeling like roadkill. Yet that’s only part of the story, only a piece to the puzzle of creative inspiration. Roadkill becomes road rage, to peel one’s self off the pavement, scream into the void and flip the middle finger. To paint the way it is. To peel back the curtain. And surprise, that’s not the end of the journey. There’s this amazing fun in leaving the desire for success and recognition on the clothesline of old and tattered pathways to no where in particular. The playfulness is addictive, and elusive because the world is calling you back. I was about to name this gallery Crazy Art, but then decided to settle for a middle path and have this gallery named “On the Stage”.
